Joey Hebert Classic for Down Syndrome

Hello, my name is Joey Hebert. Thank you for visiting my website! For the past two years, my parents have hosted the hugely successful Joey Hebert Classic for Down Syndrome golf tournament (JHC4DS) in honor of me! Not only has it proved to be a day filled with fun, but we have also raised over $85,000 to help kids like me with Down syndrome.
 
My parents (Colleen and Alvin Hebert) and I want to let you know that since the past two years have been such a big success, we are thrilled to be planning the 3rd Annual Joey Hebert Classic for Down Syndrome (JHC4DS). The tournament will be held on August 3rd, 2009 at the Deer Run Golf Club in Victoria, MN. We hope we can count on your support in continuing to make this event such a big success. All of the proceeds we earn at the tournament go directly to the Down Syndrome Association of Minnesota (DSAMN) to support their programs for awareness, education and advocacy on Down syndrome -- giving me and others like me a great chance for a fulfilled life.
 
What is Down syndrome? It's a genetic variation of chromosomes, for which there is currently no cure or explanation. What does that mean? It means that people with Down syndrome have various delays in cognitive and physical development. This varies by the individual and is unpredictable. But what is predictable is that people with Down syndrome lead fulfilled lives and are productive members of society. This is where we need your help. The Down Syndrome Association of Minnesota (DSAMN) in a non-profit organization that was founded in 1984 to support children and families with Down syndrome and offer resources to enhance their lives.
